2011 ASVCP Case Review Session and Clinical Chemistry Review Session Submission System Instructions

Instructions

ASVCP is using an electronic submission system for the 2011 annual meeting. Basic data will be collected from you as well as your submission(s) in Microsoft Word form. Please refer to the directions below for assistance. If you are having technical troubles or wish to ask a question, email John Hofmann with your concerns. You may submit and edit up to the deadlines.

The Deadline for Case Review submissions (including receiving the slides) is June 15, 2011.
The Deadline for Clinical Chemistry Review Submissions is June 15, 2011.

Browser Requirements

The proposal submission system has been tested with the following web browsers: Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 3+ , Apple Safari and Google Chrome. If your browser is not listed it may or may not be compatible. Javascript and cookies should be enabled. Javascript is used as a validation tool to make sure all required form fields are filled out. If javascript is disabled the form validation will still occur but you may have to re-enter information on the form as it may be cleared by the server.

Registration

To use the online submission system, you must first register. A registration link is placed on the login page. Here you will choose a username and password. You will also fill in your basic information. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Upon successful registration, you will be taken to the login page where you may enter your username and password to access the system. Please register only once.

Forgotten Username or Password

If you have forgotten your username or password, a recovery link is provided on the login page. Select the link and enter the email address from which you registered. Your username and password will be emailed to you.

Main Submission Page

With successful login, you are taken to the main submission page. If you have previously submitted a session proposal, it will be displayed here. You may view your submission documents from this page. If you view/download a previously submitted document from this page and make changes, they will not be saved in the system. To save changes you will need to re-upload the document from the "edit" page. From this page you will start the submission process. Choose your submission type from the links to get started.

Submission Form

When you choose your submission type from the main submission page you are taken to the submission form. Your submission form is customized depending upon your submission type (Case Review Session or Clinical Chemistry Review Session). Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). The required fields should be self-explanatory. You will need to provide 2-5 files to upload depending upon your submission type. Templates in Microsoft Word format are provided for download on the submission form and are also available at the bottom of this page. Word documents to upload will need to be 5000Kb in size or less. Digital images will need to be 5000Kb or less in size. ASVCP recommends registering for the system and looking at the submission process well ahead of the deadline. Please note: The submission system will override any previous file that was submitted.

Update Form

When you choose the "edit" link from the main submission page, you will be taken to the edit page. This is a duplicate of the submission page. To make changes to your submission, you will need to re-upload the affected document. Please note: The submission system will override any previous file that was submitted.
