Program Goals:
1) To provide training in veterinary clinical pathology that will fulfill the prerequisites for the Clinical Pathology Board examination given by the ACVP and that will lead to board certification
2) To guide trainees in development of diagnostic laboratory skills including ability to interpret laboratory data, knowledge of principles and techniques of laboratory methods, and knowledge of quality control, instrumentation, laboratory statistics and management
3) To develop teaching and communication skills
3) To provide training in principles of pathophysiology and mechanisms of disease
4) To provide research training and opportunity for a trainee to complete an original research project on some aspect of clinical pathology
