Program Goals:

Program Strengths:
Hematology, cytology, immunocytochemistry, infectious diseases, oncology, quality assurance; surgical biopsy; computerized laboratory information system; strong interactive biomedical community.
Training Activities:
Clinical diagnostic duty, training in instrumentation and QC, seminars, rounds (including combined rounds with internal medicine), journal clubs, teaching professional students, research projects.
Additional Training Areas:
Surgical biopsy, transmission electron microscopy, parasitology, microbiology, immunology, immunohistochemistry, molecular techniques.
Coursework:
None required; opportunities for coursework in pathology, immunology, molecular techniques, QC (Westgard course), and others.
