Highlights for Veterinary Clinical Pathology:


The Focused Scientific Session on Friday October 31st will include an introductory seminar by Dr. Ameila Goddard on thrombosis and inflammation, followed by oral abstract presentations from ISACP and ASVCP. This will be followed a poster session.

On Saturday October 31st a highlight is the Current Topics Session on Gastrointestinal Diagnostics. Talks will include updates on current diagnostics for chronic enteropathies in both dogs (Dr. Karin Allenspach) and cats (Dr. Sina Marsilio), saliva as a diagnostic sample type (Dr. Jose Ceron), gut microbiome analysis (Dr. Jan Suchodolski) and an update on the diagnosis of pancreatitis (Dr. Melinda Camus).

Two mystery slide and case sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday. These popular sessions will be combined in a unique and different way this year. 

Sunday November 1st will also include a Veterinary Laboratory Professionals Session that will include talks on crossmatching (Dr. Megan Caudill) and protein electrophoresis (Drs. Russell Moore and Carolyn Cray). 

A trainee and resident networking event will take place during the weekend and the meeting will end off with the ASVCP Business Meeting and Awards Event which will include announcement of the Young Investigator Award, Educator Award, Service Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award. 

There will be a pre-meeting workshop entitled "The Basics of Clinical Pathology in Nonclinical Toxicologic Pathology" on October 29. Click here to register!
The pre-meeting workshop on acute phase proteins hosted by the ISACP will be held in 2021.
