Training Programs

Training programs in veterinary clinical pathology traditionally consist of at least three years of dedicated post-veterinary specialty training. Some training programs include graduate study (MS or PhD) as a required or optional combined program. The following institutions have supported residency training programs in the past. As program availability and details changes, and other training opportunities may also arise, please check out the Training category under the Career Center for program postings.

Certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists

The ACVP Certifying Examination is a two-phase process that candidates must pass in order to be certified as Diplomates in veterinary clinical (or anatomic) pathology.
