Always true to its mission to promote excellence in Veterinary Pathology through its members, the ACVP is very pleased to announce the addition of two new affiliate member categories to its current membership:Trainees and Allied Professionals.

Trainee Affiliate Member

Who are they? Veterinarians enrolled in a training program in Veterinary Pathology, for up to seven years after the start of training or until completion of the ACVP Certifying Examination. Also note that there is an “incentive” for a joint trainee membership with ASVCP.

Allied Professional Affiliate Member

Who are they? Individuals who are qualified by virtue of training and/or experience, and are actively involved in anatomic, clinical and/or molecular pathology and/or pathology informatics. This involvement can be through administration, teaching or research, work in the biopharmaceutical industry or if engaged as scientists or professionals in areas related to pathology.

Trainees and Allied professionals are eligible to serve on all ACVP committees except for the Certifying Examination Board (CEB), Appeals and Finance.

The new members will bring a unique and valuable perspective to the College. Together, we will expand the impact and influence of Veterinary Pathology, engage members at all stages of their career, and establish functional and synergistic collaborations with strategic partners.
